This will be the sixth all-time meeting between LSU and UCLA, both of which have won a national championship in the past 15 years. The Tigers hold a 3-2 edge in the series, but history is not on their side. In their last matchup at the 2013 College World Series, an unranked Bruins team pulled off a stunning 2-1 victory over the No. 4-seeded Tigers.
