Prerequisites for Accessing myUCF
To access your student records through myUCF, you’ll need:
- Your NID (Network Identification Number) – This 8-digit number is assigned to you as a UCF student. It’s your primary identification code.
- Your NID password – You’ll create this when you activate your NID. Make sure not to share it with anyone!
- Access to the email account on file – This is needed if you need to look up your NID or reset your password.
As long as you have these three items, you can log into your myUCF account from any internet-connected device.
Step 1: Log Into myUCF
The first step is logging into the myUCF portal at https://my.ucf.edu.
On the myUCF login page, enter your full NID (including the leading zeros) and password. Then click “Login.”
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it after verifying your identity by answering security questions or having a reset link sent to your email on file.
Looking Up Your NID
If you can’t recall your 8-digit NID, use the NID Lookup tool on the myUCF login page. Enter either your UCF ID number or the email you have on file with UCF. The system will instantly display your NID.
If neither your ID number nor your email on file bring up your NID, you’ll need to update your email address with the Registrar’s Office before utilizing the lookup tool.
Step 2: Access Student Center
Once logged into myUCF, click on “Student Self Service” near the top of the screen. Then select “Student Center.”
This will bring you to your Student Center homepage. The Student Center provides a centralized place to view your academic records, registration status, financial aid awards, and more.
Changing Email on File
If you need to update the email address associated with your UCF records, you can download the Email Change form within the Student Center. Complete the form with your new preferred email and submit it to the Registrar’s Office by email or fax.
Processing can take up to 48 hours. After your email is updated, you’ll be able to utilize password reset features and the NID Lookup tool.
Step 3: View Academic History and Records
Within the Student Center, you have access to your key academic records under the various sections:
- Academics – View your class schedule, grades, GPA, academic status, and more.
- Other Academics – Request official transcripts, view your unoffical transcript, and check on degree progress.
- Holds – Check for any holds that may prevent registration or ordering official transcripts.
- Enrollment Dates – Look up key dates for registration periods, drop/swap deadlines, and more.

To check your grades for previous semesters:
- In the Academics section, under the Grades widget, click the blue “Grades” link.
- Select the semester you want to view.
You’ll then see your courses, credits, grades, and GPA for that term.
To request an official transcript:
- Go to Other Academics and choose “Transcript: Request Official.”
- Follow the step-by-step instructions to submit your request and pay the transcript fee.
Official transcripts are processed within 3-5 business days and mailed or available for electronic download.
To view and print your unofficial transcript:
- Go to Other Academics and choose “Transcript: View Unofficial.”
- Select the type of transcript to view, such as Undergraduate or Graduate.
Your full unofficial transcript will generate as a PDF for printing or saving.
