James Cameron has been planning a sequel to his science fiction epic smash Avatar for nearly a decade. After the release of a brand new trailer for the upcoming sequel Avatar: The Way of Water, a brand new poster for the film has also been released.

Despite the hype, moviegoers won’t have to wait too long to visit Pandora again because the picture is set to debut next month, just in time for the holidays. Whether or not the much-anticipated sequel will be as successful as the first film remains to be seen, but audiences wishing for a longer drawn-out journey to Pandora this December may be in luck, given that it was previously believed to be over three hours long.
